Physical Activity for Children in Care

It is well known that physical activity is an important part of a healthy, whole lifestyle. Our goal with this course is to give you a bit more insight into how children and young people experience physical activity, what motivates them, what it does for their overall health and how you can best support it.

What you will learn

  • How physical activity affects whole health.
  • Recommended guidelines for children and young people.
  • What motivates children to be physically active.
  • Current participation rates.
  • How you can help your foster child be more active.

How the course works

The course is broken into manageable online units and includes knowledge checks or quizzes where appropriate. Progress saves automatically, so learners can pause and return on any device.

A certificate is available when all required course elements are completed successfully.
