Domestic abuse and children in care
Domestic abuse is an extremely sad reality for many adults across the UK. Unfortunately, it can also have direct and indirect effects on children and young people. Children need safe, supportive and loving environments to grow and develop in. Domestic abuse can be a major disrupter to that needed environment and instead exposes children to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
